Portfolios |
|
What do they cost? |
Portfolios are an individual service, and the
requirements can vary greatly from case to case. Please
contact us with details of what you need, we can then
put a guide price together for you. We can assure you
however, that our prices will probably be far lower than
competitors, and our service far better. We do not
require you to sign a contract to buy prints. Try to
find that anywhere else! |
|
How do I book? |
In the
first instance, please contact us with your
requirements. We can then let you know what the costs
will be, and the length of shoot required. We can then
book a mutually agreeable shoot day / time. Please note
we may require a deposit of £50 to confirm the booking.
The remainder of the sitting fee is payable at the
shoot. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least
48hrs before the shoot. |
|
Money back guarantee |
We work
hard to ensure that you are 100% delighted with your
images. When you view your proof images, if you are not
happy, we will refund 50% of the sitting fee paid, and
not require you to purchase any prints. Please note, we
cannot refund against prints already ordered. We can
only refund the sitting fee if you do not order any
prints. We check all prints when they come back from the
printers, and any that have defects will be reprinted at
no cost to yourself, before they are sent onto you. |
|
What shots will you
take? |
This
depends entirely on your requirements. We can offer
advice to ensure you get the results you need, be it to
reinforce a current portfolio, or start a new one from
nothing. Generally a portfolio will have a range of
different shots and styles, in a range of different
outfits. We will also apply digital techniques to the
images to achieve different results. Some examples of
our portfolios shots can be found in the
gallery. |
|
Getting to the studio |
Full
address details will be sent when you book, as well as
contact telephone numbers. We are just a couple of miles
outside of Leicester, and on main bus routes. We have
off street parking if you are driving. |
|
What should i bring? |
Obviously, ensure you bring the changes of clothes you
wish for you photographs! Please don't bring too much,
as each change of clothes eats into your available time.
Clothing choices will usually have been discussed ahead
of the shoot, but you can of course bring what you want
- think your choices out well though, to make the most
of your shoot. Try to ensure you bring a couple of plain
items such as T-shirt (without motifs) and Jeans. Bring
any make up you may need, and equipment for hair / make
up, as this wont be provided beyond mirrors and washing
facilities. Don't turn up in heavy makeup - it is better
to apply it as needed in subtle amounts. Try to ensure
your nails either have no coloured varnish on, or if
they are coloured, ensure they are in good order and not
half finished! |
|
Can I bring a friend
/ chaperone? |
Unfortunately, we do not have the space in the studio
for people not being photographed, or facilities for
them to wait. For our own security, cannot allow people
to go unsupervised in the house, and so we cannot allow
people other than the model to be in the house once the
shoot starts. There are facilities in the village for
people to get a coffee / bite to eat whilst the shoot
takes place, or there is plenty of shopping available in
Leicester. You can then give them a call when you need
picking up, or we can arrange a taxi for you. |
|
Are refreshments
provided? |
Yes, hot and cold drinks
are provided free of charge. For longer shoots, light
snacks are also provided. |
|
When can I see the
images taken? |
The
photographs taken are generally not reviewed on the day
of the shoot. After the shoot, we carefully select the
best images, and apply enhancements as required to get
the best results. Once ready, the proof images are
displayed securely on the website, for you to view at
your convenience. To view your proofs, please

|
Is there a time limit
to the shoot? |
We do not
clock watch. We would rather take a little longer and
get the best results. That said, we do obviously have a
rough guide time for the shoot (this will have been
agreed in advance), and cannot over-run this by too
much. Please help us to get the best results for you, by
keeping the shoot as efficient as possible. Try to keep
any time taken for clothing changes to a minimum. |
|
Can I do what I want
with the prints I buy? |
All of
our prints are covered by copyright. Even the ones you
purchase. This is standard practice. Details on what you
can and cannot do with the images will be supplied at
the time of ordering. In summary though, the things you
would normally need to use your portfolio prints for
will be ok. You cannot however copy, sell or publish the
images. We can transfer the copyright to you, at an
additional cost, if you wish. You can then do what you
please with the images. |
